FAQs

Frequently
Asked
Questions

What animals do you care for?

I primarily care for dogs and bunnies, but am also experienced with:

  • Cats

  • Rodents (guinea pigs, hamsters, rats)

  • Reptiles (geckos, ball pythons, boas, skinks)

  • Freshwater fish

Feel free to ask about other pets. Bunny sitting rates typically apply.

Do you have any breed, age, or weight restrictions?

I welcome pets of all breeds, ages, and sizes, as long as they are a good match for my services and can be handled safely.

Before booking, I take time to learn about your pet’s temperament, behavior, energy level, and any special needs. This helps me ensure I can provide the safest and most comfortable experience for everyone involved.

For dogs that are very large, highly energetic, or require specialized handling (such as leash reactivity or medical needs), we’ll discuss details during the meet-and-greet to make sure I’m the right fit. If I ever feel a pet needs a different level of care, I’ll be honest and help point you in the right direction.

What areas do you service?

I primarily provide services within the city limits of Bellingham, WA.  I occasionally offer overnight pet sitting outside of this area including in Ferndale and Lynden, WA (additional fees may apply).

Do you administer medications?

Yes, I can administer most medications during home visits, including oral and topical treatments. Please provide clear, written instructions in advance.

Do you work holidays?

Yes, I am available on most holidays.  Please note a $50 surcharge will apply during New Year's Eve & Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve & Day.  Please contact me to discuss booking.

Will my dog be walked alone or with others?

Unless otherwise discussed, all walks are one-on-one to ensure safety and personalized attention.

What if there's an emergency?

In case of an emergency, I will contact you immediately and follow your preferred vet and emergency instructions. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority.
